For true fans and collectors of Robert Indiana, this is a special print - one of only two that is also inscribed and accompanied by two original drawings. You could probably find this print alone at a lesser price elsewhere - but NOT with two original drawings. First, the print itself is fully documented in the catalogue raisonne of Robert Indiana's printed works by Susan Sheehan as one of only two Trial Proofs ever created for the "Wall, Two Stone" series of prints. This is Trial Proof number one of two. But the entire edition of this work, numbered IV, is only 10 -- according to the catalogue raisonne. An extremely small regular edition, particularly for Indiana. However, in addition, this work bears a special hand dedication and inscription - with two original, unique drawings. Robert Indiana cleverly plays on words here, as the work is titled "Wall: Two Stone" -- and he personally dedicates it to his friend a woman who happens to be named Terry Wall (Capizzano), in pencil on the print itself (lower front margin). In addition, on the back of the frame, is the unique inscription in the artist's distinctive and inimitable hand, "For another Wall", signed Robert Indiana - again, so the work is boldly signed twice by the artist - once on the front, and once on the back. But there's more. In addition to the inscription on the back, Robert Indiana adds two unique drawings -- one of a star, (Star of Hope) and the other LOVE -- his famous theme. This work was a personal gift to a longtime local neighbor Maine, and personal friend of Robert Indiana from his remote residence in Maine - Terry Wall Capizzano.

- Carali McCall, Work no. 1 (Circle Drawing) Gold/Red, 2hours 24minutes, 2018By Carali McCallLocated in London, GB'Work no. 1 (Circle Drawing), Gold/Red, 2hours 24minutes, 2018’ graphite on 315 gsm Heritage Fine Art Paper by Carali McCall (born 1981). McCall began her ‘Circle Drawing' artworks in 2004 where she focuses on the durational element and physical process of drawing. Using graphite on paper she draws her full arm's length in a continuous circular motion to the point of complete exhaustion. During this physically demanding process, her position and ability to extend the arm diminishes to the extent she can no longer hold the graphite. McCall quotes, 'an important aim is to maintain a constant and continuous visible line that embodies time and energy. While performing, painfully, my entire body is noticeably putting effort into the drawing.' This intense action and durational element often cause the paper to fatigue and rip, which is often identified as her distinctive trademark. In McCall’s new addition to the series, materials such as Gold and Gouache are used to treat the surface and bring another layer of reference to important art historical processes. The combination of these new materials and grand scale of this practice, make McCall’s work particularly striking. About Artist: Carali McCall is an emerging artist whose works are internationally recognised. A Canadian artist born in 1981, she is based in London, UK. McCall was awarded a PhD from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London, and her work is featured in the upcoming publication by Bloomsburg Publishing, 'Performance Drawing: New Practices since the 1960s'. A finalist in the 2017 Jerwood Drawing Prize, McCall’s work is currently touring the United Kingdom and is situated in private and public collections curated alongside artworks by Picasso and Damien Hirst. Other notable exhibitions include: Again and Again and Again: Serial Formats and Repetitive Actions, Vancouver Art Gallery, Canada, (2012), Kenny Schachter’s Rove Gallery, Hoxton Square, London (2008), Folkestone Fringe Festival (2014), Woolff Gallery, London UK (2017) and EMPIRE II...Category
