About the Item

Exceptionally rendered graphite drawing by artist Albert Radoczy. Delicate mark-making of female figure. Signed lower right. Presented in a handsome vintage bamboo-look giltwood frame, behind glass. Albert Radoczy (1914-2008) was a renowned artist celebrated for his exquisite depictions of the female form. After completing his undergraduate studies at The Parsons School of Design, he pursued his graduate studies at Cooper Union Art School, where he later taught for a few years. Alongside Warren Nardin and Paul Mayen, Radoczy co-founded Habitat Associates, a design firm that produced iconic furniture and decor during the mid-20th century. His artwork received recognition at esteemed institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the MoMA Lending Collection, The Whitney and the NJ State Museum. "
