About the Item

A Theater Character is an original black China ink drawing on ivory glossy paper realized by Flor David in the 1950s. Hand-signed on lower-left corner. The paper is attached on the back with tape on a passepartot (28 x 44.5). This is an original drawing representing the profile of a man, most probably a character of theatre novel. Good conditions except for a light stain on paper on the higher part. Flor David (Paris 1891-1958) pseudonym of David Florence. Pastel painter. she was a pupil of Desirè Lucas. She exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais since 1923 and had honorable mention at Prix Leonie Dussueil in 1934.
