About the Item

Bonjour Pacifiste? is an Original China Ink Drawing realized by Hermann Paul (1864-1940). Good condition on a white paper. Hand-signed and titled on the lower margin. René Georges Hermann-Paul (Paris 1864 - Les Saintes- Marie-de-la-Mer 1940). A highly controversial painter and caricaturist, he produced much for L'Assiette au Beurre until its closure in 1912. During the Great War he drew memorable plates for Le Rire rouge, Le Journal and La Bajonnette.
