1920's Historical Fashion Illustration of Lady in 17th Century Dress




Finely detailed historical figurative fashion illustration painted in watercolor in 1921, of a lady in 17th century dress; complete with a full black hoop skirt decorated with small blue flowers, a small bodice with low curved neckline and white collar fastened with a rose brooch, and accessorized with a blue fan and small blue pouch as well as bunched side curls, a hairstyle that was fashionable by around 1620. Signed and dated "M. Solomon 1921" lower right. Displayed in a gold mat and gold painted frame with glass. Image size: 7"H x 5"W.
