About the Item
I have long since been a fan of William Russell Flint's watercolours, he is a master of the "economical" touch and in particular his landscapes can be sublime!
This painting seems to me to be a perfect blend of landscape and model, whilst the model Cecilia, whom he described as "his perfect beauty", takes centre stage, it is not one of his more overt compositions! In fact the Villa shares surroundings share centre stage and it is beautifully handled with a lovely sombre palette. The painting is signed lower left and signed, titled and dated verso - Lake Orta 1957.
Watercolour 20 by 24 inches, Mounted and Framed ( 30 by 34 inches).

- Condition:This painting is in excellent condition, no fading at all. It is signed on the paper lower left and on the reverse of the art work where it is also dated and recorded where the location is. It is framed and mounted to a very high standard.
