People in room with dog in the middle is an original pencil sketch drawing on paper realized in ink and pencil in the 19th Century by Tony Johannot (1803 – 1852). Good condition, minor cosmetic wear.. Hand-signed by the artist on the lower margin. Tony Johannot (1803 – 1852) was a famous French painter, illustrator and engraver. Among his most famous illustrations: those of the Histoire du roi de Bohême et de ses sept châteaux by Ch. Nodier (1830), by Don Quichote (1836-37), by Paul et Virginie (1838), as well as all the novels by H. de Balzac.
