About the Item
Original drawing composed of colored pencil with watercolor wash on artist heavy paper. Signed by the artist Joe Chierchio. Framed and matted in a satin 1.25 inch white Gallery frame. Overall 28 by 35 inches.
Joe Chierchio studied art at the School Of Art And Design, Pratt Institute
and The School of Visual Arts. He began his career as an Art Director,
working at Grey Advertising, Bates Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Young &
Rubicam. Joe has won his share of awards for art direction ‘’ Andy ‘’ ‘’
Gold Effie ‘’ and ‘’ Art Direction Magazine ‘’ to name a few.
He has taught art direction at the School Of Visual Arts, and has lectured
at colleges and corporations in New York City and New Jersey. After a
successful career as an Art Director, Joe made a transition into Fine Art.
Sculpting in stone became his passion. His award winnings sculptures and
have been shown in galleries in New York City, The Hamptons on Long Island
and Italy.
Joe Chierchio has done 24 covers to date for Dan's Papers.
