Marzio Tamer
Sage and ocra colors, tree and hill Italian landscape watercolor by Marzio Tamer

2014

About the Item

The big size watercolour regarding an Italian landscape is on paper is applied to canvas and then stretched on a stretcher frame to preserve it longer and make it easier to hang. It is framed in a simple solid wood frame and protected by anti-reflection glass. Marzio Tamer lives and works in Milan, where he was born in 1964. Tamer is a self-taught painter with a profound knowledge of nature and its rhythms. Tamer's virtuosity is expressed through both his outstanding technique and his ability to create artistic compositions that is poetic, unique, and modern. His main source of inspiration is nature, and his favourite subjects are landscapes and animals. His strikingly realistic landscapes are composed in an atelier, and therefore are products of Marzio Tamer's imagination. The exemplary neatness and apparent simplicity characterizing Marzio Tamer's paintings derive from profound attention to composition, which allows him to interpret and reproduce the most complex (and harmonic) atmospheres. Another strength of his paintings is his extremely refined palette choice, which, appearing to be limited to a few colours per painting, conferring his paintings a rare formal elegance. His artworks are present in a variety of museums among which is the Denver Art Museum. Furthermore, in 2016 his works were the protagonist of a temporary exhibition of the MUSE (Science Museum in Trento), a museum designed by the acclaimed architect Renzo Piano. Lastly, in 2017 his artworks were protagonists of a solo temporary institutional exhibition at the Museum of Natural History in Milan. This particular piece was exposed at Expo 2015 in the Italian Pavillon named "Italian Treasures" which was curated by one of the most famous Italian art critics, Vittorio Sgarbi. This painting is in a simple wooden frame with anti-reflex glass. Italy, tree, hill, light, poetic, reminiscence, suggestive
