Note the work is tapezoidal, so the measurements are 32 (29) x 72
Shepherd is known for her richly colored paintings built with layers of monochromatic enamel and especially for her exploration of perspectival space. The various reflective surfaces establish a spatial discourse across the panel, to the viewer and within the space housing the painting. Being situationally reactive to light and movement, the paintings take on sculptural characteristics in their constant change.
Shepherd's unique union of drawing and painting, her adherence to the laws of linear perspective, and the subdued shifts in tone and luminosity that create hypothetical, architectural spaces into which viewers are pulled have been signature ingredients in an oeuvre that never feels prosaic or formulaic. She is very much a "process" painter and the getting to "here" from "there" warrants its own discussion.
Her work is featured in numerous museum collections, including The Phillips Collection...

Hand signed and dated Zigi Ben-Haim, 1998
Untitled, patinated aluminum or steel,
Dimensions: 6"h x 2"w x 2"d
This listing is for 1. I have 2 similar ones available.
Zigi Ben-Haim (born 1945 in Baghdad, Iraq) is an Iraqi-American-Israeli painter, collage artist and sculptor who lives and works in New York City and Israel.
Ben-Haim unveiled his sculpture, Treasure the Green, in SoHo on Broadway. The project was sponsored by the SoHo Broadway Initiative and the New York Department of Transportation's Art Program. The sculpture is considered to be the first sculpture to receive permission to be installed on a bus bulb on Broadway. The sculpture was made to "emphasize the importance of nature in our lives," and stands as a reminder of "the importance of reconnecting with the pure nature of the green." The sculpture uses the symbol of the leaf, which has been a major icon of Ben-Haim's work for the past 30 years. It symbolizes nature and it is a metaphoric way of emphasizing nature and the surrounding environment. He is of the first generation of Israeli artists to develop large international followings like Yaacov Agam, Menashe Kadishman and Avigdor Arikha.
Ben-Haim has received numerous grants and awards, including from Pollock-Krasner Foundation, National Endowments for the Arts, New York State Council on the Arts, The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Emily Harvey Foundation Venice, Muestra Int. de Obra Grafica (Spain), and the Ministry of Culture in Israel. His works are included and exhibited in numerous public and private collections around the world, including the Guggenheim Museum in N.Y.C., the Jewish Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the Israel Museum, and the Tel-Aviv Museum.

After Giuseppe Cesari (1568-1640) After St George Slaying the Dragon
Located in Sydney, NSW
About the Painting:
St George Slaying the Dragon is a genre painting derived from the legend, St George, a soldier venerated in Christianity who battles and defeats a dragon. The tale recalls a dragon who extorted a village of their worldly possessions, once the villagers had depleted all their livestock, money and trinkets they began to sacrifice humans to the dragon as a tribute once a year. The villagers were content with the arrangement until a princess was chosen as the next offering. St George then rescues the princess and ultimately he slays the dragon, thus liberating the oppressed villages. A moral anecdote of good over evil and a genre work that has been explored by artists since its conception, with iconography throughout European art movements for hundreds of years and still up until this day.

A great gift for anyone with ties to Chicago!
This limited-edition, hand signed offset lithograph on 110 lb. Crane Lettra Cover stock commemorates Christo's exhibition "Wrap In Wrap Out", which took place at the MCA’s original location on 237 East Ontario Street, Chicago. The project became the first public building Christo and his wife, Jeanne-Claude, wrapped in the United States. In an illuminating 2010 article entitled, "A daring plan to wrap a Chicago museum raises city ire – and makes art history," author Robin Amer recounts how Christo came to choose Chicago -- or rather how Chicago chose New York based artist Christo: "During a recent conversation he [Christo] ticked off the list of buildings he approached in downtown Manhattan starting in 1961. “Number 2 Broadway, number 20 Exchange Place,” he recalled. “We tried to wrap a building at Times Square. They all said no. Christo said he quickly realized that his best hope to wrap a building – his first in North America – would be to wrap a museum, which might be more amenable to his strange proposition.Christo and Jeanne-Claude approached New York’s Museum of Modern Art in 1967. The museum was interested, but Christo said they failed to secure permission for the show from the New York Fire...
