Alex Corno
L'anello di Dallas

2015

About

Valley House Gallery & Sculpture Garden presented the first solo exhibition in the United States of sculpture and works on paper by Italian artist ALEX CORNO in 2015. In his studio near Milan, Corno creates abstract forms using welded iron and stainless steel. His bold yet lyrical mastery of form caught our attention when we were first introduced to Corno by the 240-page monograph published on his work in 2013. He achieves a sense of poetry in his use of proportion, rhythm, color, texture, and the dance between negative and positive spaces. Casting sentimentality aside, Corno is relentlessly inquisitive about seeking dynamic relationships within the formal language of sculpture. This mixed media work on paper is unframed.
