Archival Pigment Print Transfer on Cold Pressed Steep Natural Skate Deck Size: 8 x 31.875 Inches Release: July 22, 2020 Run of: 25 Auth: This RUN comes with a screen-printed signature, and is hand-numbered Douglas Hoekzema, aka Hoxxoh attempts to show us a different way of viewing time through a means of exploring its natural fabric. His work creates a new foundation and approach to evaluating and appreciating time. The oscillation of the pendulum paints time through gravity’s natural pull. Expressing how we can be pulled in one direction, when we are really meant to be going in another. How resistance creates a struggle and a false sense of control. Where if we follow the natural flow of times predetermined, yet unseen path, an experience of beauty and pure form will take shape. Hoxxoh's work isn't about the ebbs and flows of time eventually determining whether our existence will stand to be recognized, but instead serves to show that time in itself is a beautiful energy meant to be marveled at. His works represent what happens when we let go of our control of time and let its predetermined course take control. Spheres of life...

  • Retna x BTS Skate Deck 5 (Ed. /250)
    By RETNA
    Located in Dallas, TX
In the early 1970s, skate culture and street art became deeply intertwined, and a new medium for artists was born: the skate deck. In earlier days, when skateboarding was a still a subculture on the fringe, simply being a skater was enough to set oneself apart from the crowd. However, the growing popularity of the sport pushed many creative skaters to find ways to individualize their boards. Borrowing from motifs and styles popularized by graffiti artists, skaters designed the undersides of their boards an extension of themselves. In the decades since, fine art, street art, and skate culture have become inseparable, with renowned artists like Keith Haring, Shepard Fairey, Yayoi Kusama, and Yoshitomo Nara reproducing some of their most famous works on the decks of skateboards. RETNA Beyond The Streets Limited Edition Skate Deck From a sold out edition of 250. Blue and white. Published in conjunction with the 2018 Los Angeles exhibit, Beyond the Streets. Medium: Silkscreen on maplewood skateboard deck Dimensions: 8 x 31 inches New and sealed in its original packaging. World renown street and studio artist, RETNA (American b. 1979) creates work that blends free-hand graffiti styling with influences from ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and archetypal calligraphy. Retna has become known for his long and geometric script, which he developed while looking towards Egyptian and Native American traditional...

Miss Brightside Mad World Wallpaper 100 x 52 The mural artworks measure 150”(w) x 100”(h) are divided into three panels. Panels are 52”(w) x 100”(h) labeled A B C. Can be installed as a single panel. Available on paper, wood, or canvas. The artwork is created using Brightside's unique signature illustration style, a mixture of watercolor and hand-drawn re-drawn illustration vectors. Perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, or office space. Production time: 5 weeks Mad World is a product of COVID 19. I would almost say it’s a sneak peek into my mind during this time. Mad World ultimately began as a response to Picasso’s Guernica, but instead of a visual narrative in the act of war, I’ve responded with an internal battle, a war on the self. Mad World has a dynamic conflict of emotions, from death, destruction to transformation, and the notion that life will continue. As all mural’s in The Digs Collection are inspired and named after a song, in this case it’s Tears for Fears classic Mad World. Please note I’m also heavily drawn to the version that features in Donnie Darko...
