About the Item
Acrylic and mixed media with polymer spray dots by Ceravolo. In this work Ceravolo has printed two images of one of his favorite models with a close up of Ben Franklin from the 100 dollar bill. The textures from the Ben Franklin image over the face of the model appear as a textured veil over her face, giving an allure to her as she glances to the side. Stripes of acrylic color have been added and spray dots with gloss polymer. Ceravolo has also painted some of the letters with an iridescent acrylic. This mixed media work on canvas measures 32x60 framed and is signed and dated 2021 on the back by Ceravolo.
Ceravolo's work is in numerous collections worldwide and he has exhibited at prestigious galleries and art fairs in New York, Los Angeles, Santa Fe, San Francisco, Chicago and Palm Beach. His Large scale paintings have received international acclaim for more four decades. I have included in this listing an image of Ceravolo with some of his famous celebrity collectors. His art, came to popular attention when he was commissioned to create six large scale oil on canvas portraits for the lobby of The Palladium Theatre in New York City of Frank Zappa, Jackson Browne, Linda Rondstadt, Neil Young and Hall and Oats. In addition to those his paintings are in many influential corporate and private collections, including: ELTON JOHN, ROD STEWART, HUGH M. HEFNER, DAVID BRENNER, MONIQUE VAN VOOREN, WARNER BROS., RCA RECORDS AND SCHENLEY INDUSTRIES to name a few.
