About the Item
Born in 1968, Delphine Housard de La Potterie was first a lawyer before becoming an artist. Those two professions far from being antagonistic, have in common imagination and the power of words.
For personal reasons, dhdlp moved to Hong-Kong, then London, where she decided to change career path and to study Design. She developed a passion for colours and shapes, which led her to become an Interior Designer. In her new job, dhdlp started creating moodboards which initiated her love for collage. Fully aware on how colours and words can impact people, her collages are the means by which she expresses herself.
Like witnesses of a world in perpetual motion, her collages are comparable to newspapers articles narrating our time and can be interpreted as satire of modern society.

Artist's comment:
Collage representing me well enough I think, still today although realized in 2016. Strong dominance of red in this collage, as many at that time. Color that I particularly like in my collages and in the interiors but personally I do not wear spontaneously ... what commonly called the contradiction of people, I presume.
We can see in this collage, winks in Paris, New York and London. This collage shows the movement, probably because living between several cities is my life.
The reference to Superwoman who also comes back in my collages.
Finally the title of collage corresponds to me, I seize my chance!
