About the Item
Seven Sevens consists of 23" x 23" panels that can be configured in multiple layouts. Janet Sherman folds dimensional boxes out of painted paper, meticulously arranging the boxes to create a protruding grid of color that she adheres to a substrate. The entire surface is covered with epoxy resin creating a glossy surface creating the illusion of glass or tile. Her work is further characterized by vivid contrasts in color and subtle differences in whites and darks.
$6400 is for all four pieces. A single piece can be purchased for $2100.
