About the Item
Nude woman with secrets – Jolanta Johnsson, experienced Polish artist, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, PhD of fine arts, university teacher. She currently lives in Sweden. This is how she writes about this piece:
Nude woman with secrets conceals herself, as if she desires to envelop her enigmatic truths, ensuring they remain undiscovered. Her body exudes an ebony hue, absorbing all colors, acting as a formidable barrier for those seeking to delve into her hidden depths. Yet, this darkness does not repulse; instead, it ignites curiosity. For beneath this obsidian veil lies a vibrant crimson. It radiates in various shades across her countenance, her hands, and entwines between her legs. Within this woman resides an abundance of warmth and emotions, waiting to be explored and experienced. We yearn for these secrets to transcend her solitary realm.
The image is meticulously crafted through the monotype technique on Fabriano's graphic paper. The artwork showcases elements derived from the matrix, utilising printing ink, alongside meticulously hand-painted details. This painting is truly one-of-a-kind, existing in three distinct versions.
