Juliet Martin
Juliet Martin sculpts fiber memoirs. She combines weaving, writing, and illustration to tell her stories. She uses humor as a sling for heavy subjects. Making a joke to convey a serious message, her process is a delicate balance between satire and sincerity. She deconstructs what she makes and makes it into something new, something provocative. These precarious situations are her emotional vocabulary.
