About the Item
Hope inspired this work with its beginnings in a city dating back to the seventh century, Krakow, Poland. Nestled within this UNESCO World Heritage Site, known as Old Town, within the largest medieval market square in Europe, angel's wings and determination promise a better day,
The artists achieved the illusion of 3D on 2D aluminum sheet metal for this work using their original artists process, known as Metalagram®. At the intersection of art + science using old world techniques + 21st century technology - including photography, fire, etching, engraving, digital work, printing and painting - the artists created sculpturally in layers. The work appears differently from 180 degree vantage points, at varying angles of incidence, as photons dance across the work bringing delight to viewers.
