Peter Howson
Peter Howson was born in London in 1958 and moved to Scotland as a young child. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art and rose in the 1980s to become a leading member of a group of young artists known as the New Glasgow Boys. Howson was both a painter and a printmaker. In 1998 he undertook a series of drawings from life titled The Underground Series, the sketches predominantly of male heads rendered in an arresting grotesqueness likened to the work of Goya. Held in many collections around the world, it is not hard to see why Howson's distinctive style has become so popular.

$5,047 - Hand-cut Paper Scroll Edge , Sculptural Wall Hangings 60x36By Summer J. HartLocated in Miami, FL"Ferns through Basalt" is a limited edition of hand-cut wall hangings by interdisciplinary artist, Summer J. Hart. Working in her Cold Spring, New York, studio, Summer cuts each piece by hand with a blade, guided only by a vocabulary of cuts: leaves, eyelets, barnacles, stars. Each original artwork is made from a durable non-woven paper-like material that is dust, water, mildew, and tear-resistant. Hanging hardware is crafted by Green Hill Art Services out of regionally sourced walnut. Each wall hanging is hand-cut (not laser) out of Tyvek, a synthetic paper that is incredibly durable. These pieces are dust, water, mildew, and tear resistant. The hangers are hand-crafted out of locally-sourced (to the northeast) walnut. Wall hangings are available in multiple sizes with either straight or free-falling edges. ARTIST BIO Summer J. Hart is an interdisciplinary artist from Maine, living in the Hudson Valley, New York.
