Hacksaw Family is two unique pillows signed by Raluca Arnăutu. Hacksaw Family is composed of Mama Hacksaw and Hacksaw Boy. The pillows are printed with two images that represent a conceptual Hacksaw Family.
Raluca Arnăutu first conceived the collage image, photo shut the image and afterward the image was printed on textile. The pillows are filled with synthetic material.

Raluca Arnăutu
Raluca Arnăutu was born in 1977 in Bucharest, Romania. She graduates the University of Art from Bucharest, Romania. She became known for her textile installations in the exhibitions "Beasts and Superbeasts" (2011) and "Zoolandia" (2013) at the Anaid Art Gallery in Bucharest. In 2012 she represents, together with the artist Suzana Dan, Romania at the 3rd International Kids' Carnival "Tales and Thoughts" in Venice, Italy with the project "Beasts and Superbeasts". During the documentary film festival DocuArt 2015, which took place in the Eforie Cinematheque Bucharest, the artist created the alternative spatial installation "Noise and Silence" in 2015 in collaboration with the artist Matei Arnăutu. In 2015, she has her first solo show in Berlin, "Daydreaming Heart" at Anaid Art Gallery Berlin. In 2016, she made a new spatial intervention in the foyer of the National Museum of Art of Romania in collaboration with Matei Arnăutu. In 2021 she was invited t create a site specific installation from textile for the group show "Aqua. La Vie dans L'eau" at Musée Thomas Henry, Cherbourg - en - Contentin, France. In 2017 she is invited to exhibit in a group exhibition entitled "Les rencontre des mondes" at the Abbey of Notre Dame du Voeu in Cherbourg-en Contentin in France and in 2018 she has her first solo show in Budapest, "Deconstruction", at the center of contemporary art Kahan Art Space. In 2020 exhibited together with Matei Arnăutu at the Cultural Center "Brâncoveneşti Palace", Mogoşoaia, the site specific installation "Laseta". Her works are in important public and private collections in Romania, Germany, Belgium, Austria, France, Hungary, etc. She works and lives in Bucharest. Raluca Arnăutu is represented by Anaid Art Gallery Bucharest / Berlin since 2011.
