SQRA
Hendrix Cash Culture, Acrylic on Giclee

About the Item

"Hendrix Cash Culture" is a mixed media artwork with Giclee and acrylic paint on aluminum by artist SQRA. The artwork is signed by the artist and will come ready to hang. SQRA is an emerging artist based out of Montreal, Canada known for his love of pop culture. While SQRA began sketching, drawing, and painting at a very young age, he has fallen in love with digital mediums of expression due to the unlimited flexibility it allows during the creative process. Unlike paint or paper, digital formats can be fine tuned in a way that traditional textures could never achieve, resulting in brilliant and unique combinations not possible through tradition art forms. Now, as SQRA moves towards new ventures, he has decided to share his artwork with the world with his debut collection “Cash Culture”, a series that blends the world’s obsession with currency with some of the world’s favorite characters, models, heroes, and artists. Cash Culture is meant to reflect how obsessions with pop culture forces companies to exploit creativity and intellectual properties until they are literally themselves turned into living breathing currency, devoid of the artistic integrity they set out to reflect at their inception.
