"In Peace #3" is part of Ciccoricco's Three-Piece Series "In Peace." Ciccoricco takes a black and white found image of an overgrown abandoned field and brings life back into it with her masterful embroidery. She creates a new perspective on this cold, uninviting image and welcomes the viewer in. The image size is 10x8 and is framed in a 15.5x12. From the artist: "My mixed media collages are all original, analog works that consist of found paper, photographs, and embroidery thread, which I use to weave together new narratives on paper. My illustrations are personal snapshots of things I’ve seen. I love to experiment with different materials and re-use old images and paper. In doing so, I hope to bring new life to these materials so that they can be enjoyed and appreciated once again.
