Villa is a textile, installation and street artist. Her work primarily explores interconnection. Among her themes are the visionaries creating positive change throughout history, pop culture, social causes, and our reconnection with nature. Influenced by history, culture and human relationships in a fragmented post-digital world, the bold dynamism of her work is revealed in uncut thread. Ciccoricco takes a black and white found image of an overgrown abandoned field and brings life back into it with her masterful embroidery. She creates a new perspective on this cold, uninviting image and welcomes the viewer in. The image size is 10x8 and is framed in a 15.5x12. From the artist: "My mixed media collages are all original, analog works that consist of found paper, photographs, and embroidery thread, which I use to weave together new narratives on paper. My illustrations are personal snapshots of things I’ve seen. I love to experiment with different materials and re-use old images and paper.
