Tae Ho Kang
Tae Ho Kang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1945. Kang studied at the College of Arts of Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. Kang later moved to California to study Fine Art at California State University, where he graduated in 1980. Since then, Kang’s artworks have focused on the never-ending quest for home and belonging in a dense urban landscape. One day, when Kang was traveling, he was impressed by the beautiful scenery of the city under the sky, with many straight lines, curved lines and harmonies of different colors, which seemed to be a magnificent orchestral performance. The beauty of this urban landscape gave him a deep impression and great change began to take place in his work. Kang wanted to be a molecule in this huge space. Kang has to find a house of his heart to be a molecule. Where is the house he lives in? What is his identity? These questions began to arise. Kang was on a long journey to find his own house. Kang’s mixed media collage artworks have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions as well as international art fairs throughout the US and Korea. Kang's work has also been featured in Television and Film productions, including Criminal Minds, NCIS Los Angeles, Unforgettable, The Mindy Project, The Great Indoors and American Housewife. Kang’s artworks have been exhibited and acquired by private collectors around the world.

Artist Comments
Artist Patrick O'Boyle exhibits an abstract landscape using a vivid palette. "This painting is purely an abstract reference to places I have sketched on location," says Patrick. He paints with an acrylic wash establishing shapes, color & texture placement. Using collaged material creates interest and draws the viewer closer to the piece.
About the Artist
Patrick O'Boyle primarily paints in a studio, rarely using reference material other than his own thoughts and dreams. He always paints in a series of five - at the end of the fifth painting he revisits and reworks all of them until he feels they're complete. Using extra-long handles on his brushes, Patrick paints at a distance from the canvas so he can see the works evolve as a whole from the one color he starts with to the vibrant array at the end.
