About the Item

Tim Hooper employs smooth brushstrokes and very little physical texture creating narrative pieces inspired by the extraordinarily ordinary, juxtaposing the rough with the refined. In his paintings, he imagines a world where clumsy robots live among dysfunctional crows and alcoholic bunnies. In this fictionalized reality, these oddball characters serve as stand-ins for actual humans. This is all done to say something about the human condition while poking fun at the real world.
