About the Item
"Away From Our Hands" by Toheeb Ibrahim is a poignant reflection on the passage of time and the nostalgia associated with bygone eras. In this evocative artwork, an aged man sits solemnly, his gaze fixed on an old cassette player radio lamp before him. The scene exudes a sense of introspection and longing as the man seems lost in memories evoked by the vintage device. The title suggests a sense of loss or detachment, as if the technology and memories it represents are slipping away from our grasp, fading into obscurity over time. Ibrahim's masterful portrayal invites viewers to contemplate the fleeting nature of life and the inevitability of change, while also celebrating the enduring power of memory and nostalgia. "Away From Our Hands" serves as a poignant reminder to cherish the moments and connections that shape our lives, even as they inevitably slip away into the realm of memory.
