Touvia
Song of Jerusalem, Mima'amakim

About the Item

Touvia b.1980 (Israeli) - SONG OF JERUSALEM - gold leaf, acrylic and lacquer on board Tradition teaches that the 7 colors of the rainbow parallel 7 shades that the soul illuminates in one’s life. Every shade symbolizes a measure in the energy of the soul. For instance the white color of the painting symbolizes light with the concentrated spreading of red virtue to create harmony between the shades. This is how our work of life shines. This work represents a kind of prayer from the depths on the harmony of the illuminating rainbow When the shades shine, the abundance of intelligence is created into the emotional spectrum, which creates a power of realization for good. The fluidity of white is somehow symbolic of abundance. **Import duties and taxes are Buyer’s responsibility

Will Cotton lives and works in New York City. Cotton’s works from the 1990s depicted pop icons sourced from contemporary advertisements such as the Nestlé Nesquik bunny.
