Rare vintage collectible for serious Tracey Emin fans. MOMART is the famous British art handling company, and each year they commissioned artists to create a limited edition art work to serve as a Christmas gift - the MOMART "Christmas Card" to their most valued clients. Tracey Emin created the MOMART gift for 1999, and this lovely 16 square inch embroidered handkerchief - BE FAITHFUL TO YOUR DREAMS - was her contribution to the project. The tradition of the Momart Christmas Card goes back to 1984 when the first object – a festive card – was designed for us by Bruce McLean. Each year, for over 30 years, an artist, with whom we have an established relationship, has been invited to design a limited Christmas card edition for Momart’s clients. Since then MOMART has collaborated with many of the top British and international artists. The complete series of Momart Christmas card is now part of the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Tate, and several other international museums. In fine condition, folded, with original accompanying card with title, artist biography and information about the art work. The works were not numbered, but they were created in an edition of approximately 500. A rare, vintage collectible - for true Tracey Emin fans! In excellent condition, with original folds as issued.
