Aubrey Penny (1917 - 2000) Abstract, Marker on Paper. Signed and Dated 71, lower right. Size: 14 x 17 Titled: "Hyler Reflection" Series #5929, July 1971 Aubrey Penny (American 1917-2000) was an innovative California abstract artist who worked in a variety of mediums. Owner of the No-os gallery on La Cienega Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA, from 1955-70s, he is described as the "originator of style. "No-oism" or "mind line", inspired by the mind in the continuum and how "chemical-electric relationships lead to neural energy, to feeling, to act."
