Joanne Parent
Joanne Parent, a third-generation artist, grew up on the ocean; known to captain her boat, her voyages provided her with unforgettable imagery and subject matter. At a very young age, Parent began to draw pencil portraits under the guidance of her father who taught her the delicate balance between lightness and darkness - skills that would prove invaluable later in life as a Maine fine artist. Parent attended Maine College of Art.
