About the Item
In my artistic practice, I focus on the image of the work of the soul, explore the boundaries of this concept, the possibilities of its definition outside the binary opposition of male and female. The nature of the soul has a unique quality - the ability to live, but remember. With the help of visual symbolic language, I strive to convey images of the work of mental forces as if this work were manifested in the body. Like a knocked down soul, it can only lie down and breathe slowly so that it doesn’t hurt, like a careless word manifests itself as an abrasion on the elbow, and an unfulfilled dream as a bruise on the knee. Traces on the body of the soul.
In this context, each painting is a visual experiment for me. I strive to build a relationship between viewers and my work that does not have hierarchical barriers. I refuse complex visual concepts and work with images as with elements of a universal language. I catch instant gestures and poses, dissolve surrounding objects, combining their linear outlines with body volumes.
