Margarita GodgelfJust pop it2021

About the Item
In the works “Just pop it" and "Light baby“, I turn to the interpretation of Leonardo's painting "Madonna Litta".
The only preserved things are the geometry of the windows and the eye of the Christ child that can be seen on the hand holding the pop it and that creates an echo of additional meanings.
What is this work about?
A postponed, but in fact a failed life.
Infantilism. Conformism.
The famous slogan, “Just do it”, causing to action, I changed to “Just pop it”. The popping symbolizes the imitation of actions, the hollow daily bustle of a hamster in a wheel that justifies and conceals the fear of stepping out of the comfort zone and facing the rough reality, responsibility and problems.
