Landscape, Acrylic on Canvas by Modern Artist Anita Roy Chowdhury "In Stock"

About the Item

Anita Roy Chowdhury - Landscape - 18 x 24 inches ( unframed size) Acrylic on Canvas Inclusive of shipped in roll form. Style : Her works manifest human figures, nude or draped in different poses and postures, plant and animal forms, elements of landscapes, or still life. She is a nature mystic, a pantheist and essentially a sensual and sensitive visionary. On her brush point she has limitless flexibility. The abstract color field on which her visuals manifest themselves are by and large variegated but her palette is restricted to very few hues. These she uses with a full brush but with a marvelous balance of subtle contrasts. In her painting there is more joy than despair. Her works encompass that area of the mind where words and melodies are fused and are known for the musicality of lines and colors. Her art has a personal idiom that borders between figurative form and abstract idealization. • Cityscape, Acrylic on Canvas, Contemporary Indian Artist "In Stock"
    By Fawad Tamakanat
    Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Fawad Tamakanat - Cityscape - 40 x 40 inches (unframed size) Acrylic on Canvas. Fawad Tamkanat, from Hyderabad participated with his slightly older works. One in which he is exploring the raging intrusion of technology in today's times. How digital images are influencing images, imagery and the traditional medium of painting. Portraying everyday activities like the work titled ‘Cafe House’ or exploring more serious concerns in his painting ‘Soldier’. Style : To say that Fawad Tamkanat`s work is narrative is a gross understatement. Throughout his career as an artist, he has strived to develop and then perfect a visual vocabulary that he can use to communicate with his viewers. And this language, that he uses to take on peoples` minds, has nothing to do with society, religion or politics, but, quite blatantly, is all about his own personal fixations. Fixations that include those with time, and one`s place in the general scheme of things. Fawad was born in Hyderabad in 1962, to a family that already had artistic inclinations running through its veins. His father was the famous Urdu poet, Shaz Tamkanat. Early in his career, Fawad was invited to participate in an installation workshop in Denmark where he also worked for a few months in the printmaking studios with renowned printmakers. He became very taken up with printmaking, and launched his professional exhibitions showing only monochromatic prints. Now Tamkanat experiments with several different media and surfaces, diversifying to include those like watercolours, acrylic, etching drypoint and tarpaulin in his oeuvre. Fawad has held twelve solo shows in India and abroad to his credit, and has participated in state, national and international exhibitions and group shows at major art centres. About the Artist & his work : Born : 1962 Education : Master of Fine Arts(Painting), S.N.S. • Bored
    Located in Ibadan, Oyo
The artwork "Bored" is a stunning creation that weaves a delicate tapestry of dreams and reality. The artist has skillfully captured the essence of a young girl's imagination, allowing the viewer to peer into the depths of her thoughts and aspirations. The lady's posture exudes an air of calm contemplation, but her eyes tell a different story. They glimmer with a hint of mischief and wonder, hinting at the magical world she has conjured up in her mind. In the background of the painting, the artist has masterfully depicted a vision of northern horsemen, galloping majestically across vast, snow-covered plains. These horsemen, clad in traditional attire, symbolize strength, courage, and freedom - qualities that the young girl may yearn for or admire. The contrast between the girl's stillness and the dynamic scene she envisions creates a captivating juxtaposition, emphasizing the power of imagination and the allure of the unknown. As the viewer gazes at the artwork, they are drawn into a narrative of the young girl's daydream. Perhaps she is longing for adventure, yearning to explore the far-off lands of the North, or maybe she seeks to break free from the mundane routine of everyday life. The painting stirs the imagination, leaving room for personal interpretations and connections. The title "Bored" takes on a deeper meaning in light of the young girl's reverie. It hints at the idea that boredom can be a catalyst for creativity and imagination. In moments of monotony, the mind often seeks escape, finding solace in the realm of daydreams and fantasies. This painting serves as a reminder that boredom is not necessarily a negative emotion, but a gateway to exploration and self-discovery. The artist's technique in "Bored" is nothing short of mesmerizing. The use of vibrant colors and soft brushstrokes adds a touch of surrealism, enhancing the dreamlike quality of the artwork. The girl's expression is a masterpiece in itself, evoking empathy and inviting the viewer to empathize with her world of dreams. In a world where we are constantly surrounded by distractions and technology, "Bored" reminds us of the power of introspection and the beauty of allowing our minds to wander freely. It encourages us to embrace moments of stillness and delve into the depths of our imagination, just like the young girl in the painting. Art has the incredible ability to transport us to different realities, and "Bored" achieves just that. It invites us to envision our own northern horsemen or any other fantastic tales that lie within our hearts. It celebrates the essence of childhood wonder, where even the simplest of moments can become the foundation for extraordinary journeys. In conclusion, "Bored" is an exquisite artwork that captures the essence of a young girl's daydream about northern horsemen. It stands as a testament to the power of imagination and the art of storytelling through visual means. As we gaze upon this masterpiece, let us also be reminded of the beauty of introspection, the allure of dreams, and the magic that lies within every one of us. • Nakedness of Truth
    Located in Ibadan, Oyo
Nakedness of Truth is an original painting by Abifola Olorunlana. Olorunlana created Nakedness of Truth with Acrylic on a 36W by 48H inches primed canvas. Nakedness of Truth was made over a painting Abifola Olorunlana did and didn't like (an underlying painting depicting four figures fetching water from a river and gossiping about someone they didn't like). The Nakedness of Truth is a painting that advocates for people who belong to the LGBTQ community and salutes their unity in making the movement impactful globally. For years many have stayed reclusive about their true identity due to religious beliefs, societal constructs, and government laws which have left many depressed till their last days, many were even killed for courageously coming out to state their true identity. This is depicted in the painting: dark yellow eyes sticking out of the woods to portray a sense of public rejection, yet my subject boldly stands out of the green woods and leaves to express courage, strength, and power.
