Contemporary hard cover on half-parchment and marbelized cardboard. Author and title engraved in golden letters on spine (finely decorated with golden decorations).
Representation of the bust of Ridolfino Venuti (located into the Pantheon) engraved on copper on frontispiece by Giacomo Bossi.
Frontispieces finely decorated with etching technique.
Rare and important volume on the Monuments of Rome, including 62 tables engraved on copper by some of the most important engravers of the time, including Giovannini Battista Piranesi who is author of 21 of them.
Overall very good conditions, cover a little worn on angles, inside floweries on some of the first pages and on margins of plates.
