CLOSE TO HEART - Collection
Working on the series I used a “wood with history” remained after the demolition of old houses. I am fascinated by its external imperfection, but the most amazing thing is, when you start to clean an old-aged timber from dust, it turns out to be completely fresh and clean inside, and it smells of thus, and there’s some kind of magic in this process that reveals the interior life of things.
But why wooden boxes? Wooden boxes can be filled! It's like a space for your own pleasure, a place where everyone may cherish just a little bit of his memories...
