About the Artist
Artist Sri Rao paints vibrant Iowa landscapes with impressionist strokes to evoke happiness. Inspired by her surroundings, she meticulously plans her compositions, blending elements from multiple reference photos using Procreate, creating lively and energetic works. After graduating in Ceramic Engineering and working in Research and Development for a few years, she married and moved from India to the United States. She joined art organizations and met many artists who inspired her. Her heritage draws her to bright colors and sunshine, evoking nostalgia. Sri occasionally paints en plein air but primarily works in her basement studio, finding inspiration while listening to movies, documentaries, and YouTube videos. Alongside her creative pursuits, she is a Lead Business System Analyst and enjoys quality time with her family.
