Artist Srinivas Kathoju takes inspiration from nature's vast open fields. Rolling mountains and broad horizons connect to endless skies. A bright blue hue peeks through broken colors of brown, yellow, and orange. Srinivas' painterly strokes create a dynamic sense of movement harmonious to the vibrant palette.
About the Artist
During the day, Srinivas Kathoju is a full-time software engineer. However, his art reflects another side of his personality; a passion for painting, a love of nature, and a desire to depict the vastness and majesty of the landscape. What makes his paintings unique is the way they incorporate several styles of art. The abstracted compositions have the soft atmosphere of an impressionist landscape, combined with the flat bold shapes of a post-war modern painting. Additionally, there is an ambiguity to the composition. The eye may easily register the painting as a landscape, but struggle to identify the horizon line and other landmarks within the piece. Is the block of turquoise running the length of the canvas a river, or just another line of color within the layers of stacked shapes?

Award-winning artist, George Peebles specializes in contemporary panoramic scenes. Breathtaking combinations of brilliant hues and gradients of rich skies map out his paintings. “My art is a reflection of the place inside each of us where we connect to nature,†says George. Based in Michigan, he draws inspiration from electric moments within his environment. Each stroke is an inward expression of his emotions as he paints from memory. George, being colorblind views his work as a lifelong process that leads him to new concepts and ideas best expressed on his canvas. When he’s out of the studio, George works as a chef at their local hospital.
