Aubusson Style French Jacquard Tapestry with Hunting Scene

About the Item

A lavish French Aubbusson style jacquard tapestry depicting an exciting Renaissance era hunting scene. The scene is set in a dense forest of blue, gold, emerald and burgundy foliage. The foreground features a hunter, dressed in scarlet, blowing a French horn and riding a rearing, gray horse. At his side is a hunter in teal on a rearing, brown horse. In the distance two horses with riders leap over bushes. The tapestry is beautifully framed and ready to hang in an ornate, natural-toned, wood frame with gold leaf details. The frame measures 39 by 49 inches.
