This work is effectively two paintings, the first layer being an abstract which didn't quite fit right on the canvas in the end, I decided to keep this layer though and to use it as a background, there was so many elements that i really liked, I applied a green wash and decided on the mystic jungle vibe which has really worked out well I think. I would love to do more works like this.

Adam Bartlett
Adam Bartlett is a former fashion print designer who studied textiles at Manchester University and is now a full-time artist, specializing in painting and illustration. His common themes are that of nature like jungle and tigers and still life, both abstract and surreal, inspired by a mixture of Mughal and contemporary art. Bartlett's recent clients include the Zizzi Restaurants, Easy and Ibis Hotel chains, producing large scale mural art and wallpapers.
