A line of white cloud rises at the foot of swirling silver calligraphy in this luminous canvas by Alice Teichert. Resembling an abstracted tornado against a crimson sky, the dynamic image is aptly named Talking Winds.
Multidisciplinary artist Alice Teichert is known for bold colours and layered transparencies interspersed with script like line drawings. Teichert studied music, philosophy, visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 30 solo exhibitions in Germany, France, NY, Canada, Switzerland and Australia. Teichert’s paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections including the MacLaren Art Centre, Global Affairs Canada, the Musée de la Ville de Valence, France.
