About the Item
Barbara Kolo was born in New York and has a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. She lives and works in Santa Monica, California. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
Barbara's painting is influenced by impressionist, Aboriginal and Asian Art. Carefully placed lines of painted dots form an image that blurs the limits between abstraction and representational art. Kolo's paintings celebrate and depict the forces, rhythms and motions of the natural world and its fractional design.
