‘Pit Pony’ My abstract artwork celebrating the Pit Ponies who worked the coal mines of Britain during the Industrial Revolution. Painted as a Celtic War Horse surrounded by the sights and sounds of industry. Wheels turning the machines, scaffolding holding up the pit roof, furnace flames, huts, roads in and cold buildings with a bird of freedom and hope flying above.
