About the Item

Artist Comments
This abstract piece captures the quiet allure of a misty harbor. Painted intuitively, artist Lisa Carney layered warm browns, cool teals, and soft greys to evoke a sense of atmosphere and depth. Subtle drips cascade downward, reminiscent of distant rain or morning fog settling over the water.

About the Artist
Artist Lisa Carney creates abstract paintings that suggest wildflower fields, exploding petal bouquets, and coral reefs. Lisa reveals her deep connection to nature by utilizing texture through drips and splatters. "I work spontaneously and driven by my instinct and intuition, yet with precise gestures," shares Lisa. Growing up in an artistic and musical family, Lisa's creative environment paved the way for her artistic journey. She further cultivated her talents by pursuing an undergraduate degree in the visual arts. Her masterpieces graced the walls of galleries, including a solo show at the Maison Paul-Émile Borduas of the Musée des Beaux-arts de Mont-Saint-Hilaire in 2013. Her works also adorned the cover of a poetry book, Brève Littéraires, in 2007 and 2009. Lisa works in her basement studio, developing several paintings simultaneously and groups her ideas into thematic series. When she is not painting, Lisa delights in the playful company of her cats, finds serenity in yoga, and embraces the thrill of biking and skating. She also loves getting lost in her favorite music melodies and immersing herself in home renovation shows.

Artist Comments
Jenn painted this piece using Golden Open Acrylics, which take longer to dry and therefore allow for more blending time. Jenn uses this technique to give the painting a dreamy and hopeful essence. "I am more passionate than ever about painting peaceful, reflective art that provides serenity and beauty," she says. This piece was painted on Arches heavyweight paper and includes a 1 5/8" border around the edge for ease of framing.

About the Artist
Jenn Williamson expertly evokes the scenery of British Columbia in her soft abstract landscapes. She utilizes defining horizontal and vertical strokes, coupled with a skillful handling of color, to create significant depth in each piece. Her paintings, though abstracted, clearly convey the atmospheric attributes of the scene–rain, wind, clouds, fog. Jenn’s muted color palette transports the viewer to the Canadian west...

Oyster Bay, Abstract Painting
By Alicia Dunn
Located in San Francisco, CA

Artist Comments
Artist Alicia Dunn displays a dreamy seascape of the Northern California coast. The essence of serenity emanates in the relaxed panorama. Alicia captures the chill in the crisp sea air. Relaxing hues of blue flow along the canvas in soft and velvety brushwork.

About the Artist
Alicia Dunn’s abstract paintings are affected by a confluence of elements: the weather, her mood, and the properties of her materials. “Ceding control to these things allows the magic to happen,” the artist explains. Alicia's paintings capture the unique energy of nature, particularly that of the beach where she lives. Staring into the tranquil and luminous colors of her work, the viewer connects to shape of the waves, the swiftness of the wind, and the beginning of a day. Alicia is inspired by the simple things in life. Her awe of nature’s perfection and the thrill of constant discovery are conveyed in her art. Alicia works in water-based acrylic paint, and has developed a technique using blending gels to achieve not only rich color and texture, but also an eroded, weathered effect that reflects the process of the painting’s creation. Like nature itself, each painting shifts with the viewer, chronicling time through movement and beauty.
