About the Item
The intensity of the colors varies with the light, city awakens with the first lights of the day. Worked in successive layers like a lacquer, the interpretation of the background and then the creation of a first layer of incompatible resin creates a random relief, the subsequent layers fill the cavities and thus compose a new pattern. The varnishes colored by their transparencies let the different layers transparent. The masking with golden colors orients the architecture and finally red and orange varnishes bring that fiery side associated with the gilding of the previous layer. The energy and dynamics of colors give all the intensity to this tray.

Olivier Ebel
Olivier lives and works in the Nantes region.
After having participated in sketching courses, live models and a 4-year cycle at the fine arts of Cholet, 25 years in the industry in many fields, Olivier experiments with different techniques, reproduction, upcycling, sculpture on wood and metal and since 2012 painting on wood panels.
Inspired by large formats or asymmetric formats, his work is based on the superposition of layers of paint and tinted varnish to give movement and depth to his painting.
A first 18m long fresco which loops in a room on the theme of time and the cycle of life, orients it towards continuous painting by the realization of square or triangle base columns which are painted flat alternately then assembled to compose columns.
The plurality of areas of interest push Olivier to create a unique range of furniture: tables, armchairs and chairs under the Dysform brand.
Today, following a student project at the fashion school in Cholet, a second collection of men's t-shirts will see the light of day.
