June 2023 / Abstract Acrylic Painting / Heavily Textured (14 Layers) / 12 x 16 x 1.5 on Gallery Wrapped Canvas. Sides will be painted to match the painting. I like building my canvases with layers of paint. There is a richness by doing this for this painting and many of the paintings I paint. The 3 top layers I have created give character with the cracks and crevices with the colors below the top layer. I have used Gold, Orange, Copper, Green, Bright Aqua Green, Red, Gold, and touches of Dark Blue in my palette for this unique painting. The roughness/texture and lines I have placed on the painting give more character to this Abstract I have created on this canvas. I have created another organic Primitive Painting that is represented on this Gallery Wrapped Canvas. I draw on an Asian & Middle Eastern influence as well a Prehistoric aspect with this painting. I have painted this Abstract with a loose feeling while blending with my palette knives. I have placed felt pads on the 4 corners of the backside to protect the wall. And, so you are able to place the painting in 4 different ways. Golden Professional Archival Gloss Varnish Spray has been applied to protect the painting. Certificate of Authenticity included 1/1. Lighting will be important for this painting or any other painting to bring out the brilliance of the colors. Also, Wall colors will be important for this painting or any painting. Painted with palette knives. The color tones I have used in this painting are muted & reflective of a toned down/softened appeal for the eye . I have used Skin Tone, White, Cream, Silver, Peach, Yellow and Orange. My main focus was using Orange and Peach and blending both. I have touches of Gold and Dark Brown as well. I have used several layers of primer before adding my main colored layers. I have left open some of the under layers to give perspective and character. There are small details that are hard to pick up with my photographs. The painting can be hung 4 different directions-so there is 2 Vertical hangings and 2 Horizontal hangings.
