Abstract painting on linen canvas by Dutch contemporary artist and art teacher Rubins J. Spaans. The painting is a color study that takes the viewer back to the abstract works that Rubins made in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Rubins lives and works in Alp, a small mountain village in the Spanish Pyrenees.
He is classically trained in the techniques of the Old Masters, and yet he has remained the street painter he was at the beginning of his painting career in Barcelona.
