Steven H. Rehfeld
'Orange Colors' by Steven H. Rehfeld - Vibrant Orange and Muted Colored Abstract

2018

About the Item

Steven H. Rehfeld (American, born 1954) 'Orange Colors' 2018 Oil paint, charcoal, ink, paper, glue, canvas, stretcher bars The artist signed the back of the painting. 'Orange Colors,' a captivating 60" x 60" creation by Steven Rehfeld, envelops viewers in a warm embrace of sumptuous hues and intriguing shapes. Dominated by shades of orange, from soft peach to fiery tangerine, the canvas is a celebration of this vibrant color and its myriad possibilities. Rehfeld's mastery is evident in the way he juxtaposes these oranges with muted olives, grays, and off-whites, creating a harmonious balance that is both lively and soothing. The geometric framework, marked by interconnected rectangles and squares, offers a semblance of order amidst the painting's organic fluidity. Delicate drips, translucent layers, and textured brushstrokes enhance the tactile appeal of 'Orange Colors,' inviting touch as much as sight. The artwork, while abstract in nature, subtly evokes familiar images – perhaps a sunlit room, a fragmented reflection, or an autumnal landscape. As with all of Rehfeld's works, "Orange Colors" beckons viewers to engage, interpret, and find their own meaning within its depths. About the Artist: Introducing Steven H. Rehfeld, a distinctive force in contemporary art, whose innovative approach transcends the conventional boundaries of artistic creation. With a profound grasp on the foundational elements of art, Rehfeld's work is a testament to his unmatched prowess and his relentless pursuit of excellence in the art world. Born in San Francisco, in October 1954, Steven H. Rehfeld embarked on his artistic journey influenced by the diverse cultural backdrop of the Bay Area. Educated at the College of San Mateo and the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he majored in Studio Art, Rehfeld refined his eclectic style, harmoniously blending abstract art with realism. "First and foremost, I go beyond any artist ever," Rehfeld asserts, reflecting his deep understanding of art's foundation akin to the scientific precision of the periodic table. This comparison underlines his approach to art as a rigorous discipline where each element is as crucial as a chemical compound in a meticulously crafted formula. Original, 1-of-1.
