About the Item
Gorgeous and Modern acrylic on canvas signed by J. C. Cárdenas in the lower left corner, titled “Composition.” Estimated to have been completed in the late 20th century, this work is characterized by a background of white and grayish hues against which we find a profusion of blurred geometric shapes ranging from circles to rectangles and, above all, straight lines. All these shapes are distributed on the two opposite sides of the canvas, left and right, leaving a space in the center that connects the two points with thin, irregular black lines.

Abstract art is a style of artistic expression characterized by representing concepts abstracted from reality or independent of what is recognizable by the senses, through freedom, irrationality, and diversity of shapes, lines, and colors.
