ABOUT THE ARTIST
Woody Patterson underwent a metamorphosis in an old skating rink. It was there he found a pile of abandoned technology and a whole new direction for his artwork. The experience ignited his exploration of the virtual world’s physical side. He developed a penchant for turning discordant materials like motherboards and hardwoods into harmonious, visually dynamic assemblies. Patterson’s background in graphic arts informs his sophisticated, refined work. He lives in Birmingham, Alabama with his wife and shows his pieces extensively throughout the United States.

Artist biography
Peter Martin Gregor Heinrich Hellberg (later Yigal Tumarkin) was born in Dresden, Germany in 1933. His father, Martin Hellberg, was a German theatre actor and director. With his mother, Berta Gurevitch, and his stepfather, Herzl Tumarkin, Tumarkin immigrated to Mandate Palestine when he was two. He served in the Israeli Sea Corps and, after completing his military service, studied sculpture with Rudi Lehman in Ein Hod, a village of artists near Mount Carmel.
