Born in Poland in 1984, Bartosz Beda relocated to the UK in 2008 to study at the Manchester School of Art. Since then, Beda’s work has received innumerable accolades. After graduating in 2012 with a Master of Arts in Fine Art, Beda was selected for the Catlin Art Guide as the UK’s most promising emerging artist, shortlisted for the Title Art Prize and the Door Prize, selected for The Saatchi New Sensations, and won the esteemed Towry Award for Best of the North of England. In 2014, he was a finalist for the Williams Drawing Prize in Connecticut and placed second in the Viewpoints competition at the Aljira Center for Contemporary Art in New Jersey. Three years later, he won first place in the Interstate Group Exhibition category at the CWU Sarah Spurgeon Gallery in Ellensburg, WA. Beda was awarded a six-month scholarship from Manchester Metropolitan University to attend the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany, and later received a fellowship from Fondazione per Arte in Rome in 2016. Rebecca Leveille (who is also known for her illustration work under the name Rebecca Guay) received a BFA from Pratt Institute in 1992. Leveille’s art has garnered words of praise from Jerry Saltz, Walter Robinson, and Peter Frank.
